Thomas Earle, Massachusetts Fowler
Coming soon - photos and details on restoration of a late 1770s to early 1780s Thomas Earle fowler. Signed THOMAS EARLL on the lockplate, and THOMAS BAIRD on the silver wrist escutcheon. The fowler has its original 54" barrel with full length sighting rib on top. The last 12" of forestock are shattered and need repair. A 1" section of the buttplate finial is missing and will be replaced. The lock may be reconverted in time. Check back for more details of the restoration process over the coming months.
